Ear Institute offers ongoing support and offer a 3-day money-back guarantee* on hearing aids. We also offer the following warranties on all hearing device purchases.
WARRANTY PERIOD
12-month – International Warranty | 36-month Local Limited Warranty
INCLUDED:
Hearing Aids: Electronic components in the hearing aid & hearing aid casing.
Receiver-in-canal (RIC) Receiver (excl. c-Shell): Covered up to 1x replacement per hearing aid in the first year.
NOT INCLUDED:
- Defects arising from improper handling of the instrument, excessive perspiration and/or wax accumulation.
- Normal wear and tear items, i.e. tone hooks, slimtubes, battery doors, volume controls.
- Repairs performed by unauthorised parties, which will render the warranty null and void.
- If incorrect plugs, charging adapters, cables and/or chargers that were not sold with the device have been used.
- Excluded decline in rechargeable battery health from the third year.

*The 30-day money-back guarentee is valid for 30 days after fitting. Should you wish to return your hearing aid within this period, opened or used consumables will be charged for. This includes, but is not limited to, batteries, drying units, and earmolds and/or receivers.
- Start date: Applies to products sold on or after 1 March 2026
- The warranty in the third year is a limited local warranty with a service fee of R1,180.00 per hearing aid. This fee is to be determined annually according to company service structures.
